Glorsoft select InishTech for the Velocity™ v3.0 telephony developer kit

DUBLIN, Ireland, November 29th 2011 – Glorsoft, a leading provider of telephony development tools for the .NET community, have selected the InishTech cloud licensing service to protect, manage and control the distribution & licensing of the award winning Velocity™ v3.0 telephony developer toolkit.

Velocity™ is a comprehensive, specialist .NET development environment for telephony applications, that is fully integrated into Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and the .NET 4.0 framework. It empowers developers to rapidly create feature rich IP-based telephony applications, from simple IVR (Interactive Voice Response) applications to high density call management systems that can handle millions of calls per year.

Eoghan Ó hUallacháin, Glorsoft CTO explained, “There were a number of considerations for us in choosing the right licensing solution. We wanted a true, native .NET licensing solution that would allow us to exercise fine grained control over our software, both in terms of features and time periods. Every Glorsoft customer has different usage requirements and we need to accommodate this in our licensing. But another key thing for us was to avoid maintaining unique codebases for each version of the Velocity product. That’s a real challenge as you grow. Finally, we needed something that would allow our sales team to provision and manage customers quickly and easily. We did consider building our own licensing engine, but quickly decided that that is not our core business and that it would make more sense to buy in the expertise, leaving us free to focus on Velocity. InishTech’s service addresses all of these requirements.”

Tim Farrelly, Glorsoft CEO continued, “We selected InishTech because we needed a way to easily manage the licensing & distribution of Velocity in the marketplace. We wanted to enforce our business model and protect ourselves from the bad guys. But we’ve discovered that the real value of the InishTech service is that it gives us commercial business agility. We can adapt how we package, license, price and manage Velocity dynamically. That means we can always give our customers what they want, and we can make the most of every market opportunity.”

Aidan Gallagher, InishTech CEO commented, “Glorsoft are focused on creating the very best software tools, which will be used to build a new generation of advanced telephony applications. What they recognized early on was that they needed to manage and commercialize their software in the marketplace in an agile, granular way. InishTech gives them what they need direct from the cloud – it’s quick, it’s comprehensive and it doesn’t cost the earth – allowing Glorsoft to concentrate on building great software.”
