Code Protector in offline mode (FAQ29)

Sometimes we need to run the SLP Code Protector in offline mode - when an internet connection is not available. We actually have installed our permutation and just need to protect our application (in offline mode). Are there any limitations in that? Our first tests show that the Code Protector can still protect the application selected methods - but is there something else we missed?

Code Protector will protect you application without being connected to the internet, once you have installed the appropriate permutation. However, if you also want to license your software, Code Protector uses the internet connection not just to download the permutation but also to synchronize the features and feature sets you defined for your product on the my.softwarepotential.com website. Without the internet connection you cannot synchronize the features and feature sets which you need to map to your code methods and so cannot license your software.
